Feedback from Schools working with Enrich

St Charles’ Catholic Primary School Ryde

As an executive team we worked closely with Nadene to develop a detailed and effective learning plan aimed at providing quality professional learning linked to the teaching standards. Nadene has an extensive knowledge of the process of accreditation and guided us to develop rigorous school based processes that support all staff. Her expertise in coaching, providing support and feedback and sharing quality resources  was outstanding.

Through Nadene’s expert guidance, we were able to succeed at achieving higher level accreditation. If not for her own experience of accreditation, extensive knowledge of the standards and expected processes would the whole experience and our final accreditation journey be such a success. Thank you Nadene.

Nadene has been working with our system school leadership teams to encourage a more strategic approach developing the knowledge, practice and engagement of their teachers. She supports them to develop an annual professional learning plan that aligns with their strategic goals and vision for where they want their school to be. This work has enabled school-based professional learning to be both NESA registered and goal-aligned. The greatest benefit is that this approach results in teachers evidencing the implementation of the professional learning with their students, which also provides authentic evidence for teachers working towards accreditation at Highly Accomplished and Lead teacher levels. Nadene works with the team to build their understanding and capacity to independently replicate this process in the future without input.

The professional learning is designed to be evidence-based where schools ask; What has changed in teacher practice? Where and how will we see that? and how do we know it was effective?

We would highly recommend any forward-thinking and strategic school leader, to work with Nadene to develop these growth processes in their school.

Nadene has provided outstanding professional learning development for our education leaders and classroom teachers.

She has assisted our schools’ leadership teams in the effective implementation of the Teacher Professional Practice and Development process across our system of schools.

Leaders gained useful knowledge and skill in designing quality standards-based, annual professional learning plans to achieve school goals.  They also gained experience and confidence in offering their school based professional learning for registration with NESA – assisting Proficient teachers to gain professional development hours on-site.

The professional learning sessions broadened the knowledge and confidence of teachers outlining clearly the links between our system’s Quality Catholic Education Improvement framework, a school’s Strategic and Annual Improvement Plans, and teachers’ SMART goal setting in the Teacher Professional Practice and Development process.

Teachers have reflected on the professional learning they experienced:

“I gained deeper knowledge and confidence in applying the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers”

“I gained useful knowledge, skills and understanding on SMART Goal setting and the Professional Practice and Development process”

“My understanding of the interdependence between teachers at Proficient, Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher was enhanced”

“I can see the potential positive impact on student outcomes as a result of the effective implementation of the Professional Practice and Development process.”

“The presenter was very interesting, captivating and easy to understand. She was clear and organised in the presentation and I was able to follow her input easily without losing interest.”

“Nadine clearly knows her topic and she delivers her message with confidence that also reflects her experience with staff and goal setting.”
